This is the second time we have stayed in the hotel. We find it convenient for the town, especially leaving the car there!!!!!!and it gives us easy access to visit family and friends. We especially liked the room we had this time(40)apart from the noise of the lift!!!!
My partner finds the T V frustrating as you still only have 4 channels!!!!!He is a late person and likes to watch TV late at night!!!!!!!!
The location was close to both the ferry port and the town centre.
This 2 star hotel is more like a hostel, which is okay, except for the prices. Both the accommodation and the food & drinks are very overpriced. I expect a lot more for the prices charged.
Dinner was excelent value
Staff was excellent, friendly and very eager to please, so no fault there. Our room was small, tired and in need of an upgrade; nowhere in the hotel was very warm. All in all it was rather expensive for what was on offer at £118.00 for the room per night.
Receptionist was very nice and very helpfull on both days, 30th&31st Room Was clean Hotel looked tidy, first impressions were good Restraunt looks great Great residents lounge with snooker
Breakfast was not Great, Cold, Milk was off and Juice had sedement in the bottom where it had been sitting. For a hotel of this size and how busy and the price to stay, you would think it would not be hard to do a decent hot breakfast, check that the milk is not rotten, and to check the food is actually ok, little things like that make a big difference you can tell the chef does not taste the food he cooks no hot water, tepid more like, heating isnt great, room was cold and damp, but it was clean,
Close to Ferry Port and to restaurants. They put on Continental breakfast from 5am and this allows you to get a bite to eat before getting the ferry at 7am
All was good
Very central; only 5 minutes from the shops and ferry terminal
Excellent sized room, although we were in a family room. Family also stayed at hotel and paid same price for a double room which was quite small though. Fabulous breakfast and dinners. Room was clean and maintenance was up to date.
Over priced compared to others. Very basic rooms. Restaurant more like canteen, although food good.
Friendly staff, good breakfast and enjoyable evening meals
The lift needs abit of maintenance.
Good clean rooms, large enough to book the whole group (only 3!), easy access to town. Breakfasts pretty good for a large hotel, served in a well lit large dining room
A bit utilitarian/functional. Revolving door quite tight.
It was central to the ferry port and to the business location we were attending. Car Parking, bed and catering were very good. Staff were very friendly and chef could not do enough for colleague with serious food allergy.
The guest rooms were located upstairs via the residents lounge. This lounge had a snooker table and between it and the residents chairs were stacks of chairs piled up which blocked the access route to the bedrooms.
The restaurant was very good. I like the decor and enjoyed the buffet style breakfast
I thought the single room was a little tired and there was very little space, The wardrobe was very old fashioned and bathroom shower very basic.
Very close to the centre of town and shops as well being very close to the Ferry. Restaurant was on site and the meals were very good. Room comfortable, but, as with all hotels on the Western Isles it was rather expensive compared to ones on the mainland.
It could do with some refurbishment and new double glazed windows.
Very friendly staff who were very helpful in any way they could. Food at the restaurant was fantastic.
Bathroom area within rooom really needs updated as appears outdated and in need of repair, only minus in relation to price point.
